2012 Dance Ministry Update

Ever have a time when you prepare for something only to get close to it's arrival and the bottom falls out?

God is never surprised. He isn't worried or nervous if it doesn't fit into our plan.

We were preparing for the Passover/Easter season with our newest moving message: I Will Rise, by Chris Tomlin.

This dance tells the story redemption through our Messiah. Do you know the song?

"Jesus has overcome. And the grave is overwhelmed. Victory is won. He is risen from the dead. And I will rise when He calls my name. No more sorrow. No more pain. Will rise on eagles wings. Before my God, fall on my knees and rise. I will rise."

Those a just a few verses that bring me so much joy. What our Messiah has done for us, that we might walk in victory.

We chose this song this year because of the work He has done in us as a family and a dance team.

We have truly risen this year on eagles wings and because of that we have fallen on our knees. We rise in victory over sin and death. No longer do we have to live in the shadow of sins shackles. Or in the shadow of broken dreams. He has paid the price and it is finished.

Our ministry performances were scheduled for 5 churches and 6 performances.

During our practice time I managed to injure my foot. Babying it for a week I went back to practice and it moved from feeling better to *extreme pain*!

The diagnosis? Torn knuckle capsule. Should I explain?

I tore the capsule that surrounds the knuckle that is at the base of the big toe and connects it to the foot. My foot is taped and the big toe is taped down so that it heals in the down position and not sticking up. I am in a boot cast for 3-4 weeks....overlapping the week of performance.

Thankful for the time I had with my girls rehearsing this dance and listening over and over to the song. It became our daily afternoon ritual and it was a sweet time of hearing from the Lord on what interpretation to put to the words.

We are looking forward to bringing this song, I Will Rise, to the world in the form of a Moving Message as soon as I heal.

Thanks for keeping up with our ministry. We are grateful for each and everyone of you!

To Life,

Sandy and the Chavah Street Dancers
